I was completely and utterly shocked today. Today was the judging for the Black History Arts Festival t-shirt design compitition in my Graphic Design 2 class. The project for the class was to design a t-shirt for an actual client. Then our client was going to look at everyone's pieces and choose one design out of around 30. There were many good designs, most rather complex. It's not that I think mine wasn't good, it is just rather simple and less sophisticated than some of the other designs. Well, mine was chosen. So I'll be getting paid $250. The best part is MY design will be printed on hundreds of shirt to be sold. Many people will be walking around in something that I designed. It's so surreal..... I guess I can finally say I'm a sucessful artist.
